cPhase Sports Association is as unique as the spelling of our team name. The small “c” at the beginning of our name is not a mistake, it is by design. The small “c” is a reminder to each member of our organization to be committed in every phase of his or her life. cPhase Sports Association is the ministry of husband and wife team James “Jim” and Annelle Whitt. Jim is a former all star basketball player for Indiana Institute of Technology in which he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Jim is also a former Indian Pacer rookie team player (ABA), and Indiana IBA player. Annelle is a former high school gymnast. After having one of the fastest growing minority owned businesses in the state of Missouri for a number of years; Jim and Annelle changed careers and moved to Columbia, Missouri to focus on family. Jim and Annelle believe that sports is a magnificent avenue to build leadership and character in young men. What started as a desire to coach their children has developed into a passion for the development of young men from various, economic and socio-economic backgrounds to learn and grow through the shared experience of the sport of basketball.
All children are blessed with a gift. All children can be positive role models if given the right environment. All children should have an opportunity to learn from each other’s life experience in a positive way. Sports allow children to understand the concept of teamwork at their own level. The lessons you learn from playing organized sports are life lessons. Any time spent with children in a positive way is quality time.
